Safety and parents

Built safe before it's built big.

goodgame streamers are game characters first. Here's what they will and won't do, how every reply gets checked, and the controls parents and streamers get.

goodgame is in early access. This page describes how safety works when it launches.

For parents Report a problem

When a player overshares

Player

lol my school is lincoln high and i live on oak st

Input check: school and street found. Not saved, not repeated.

Gage AI

whoa, keep that stuff to yourself, bro. okay... torches. we need torches.

Never asked for or kept: age, school, address, full name, contact details, health or family problems.

Two versions

Teen is the default. Adult is earned.

Everyone starts on the teen version. The adult version unlocks only after a real age check.

Teen version

13 to 17, and anyone not verified
  • Talks about the game, the run and the stream
  • Steers off-topic talk back to the game, in character
  • Remembers game stuff only: builds, wins, running jokes
  • Heavy topics get one kind line and a pointer to real help

Adult version

18+, age verified
  • Talks about more than the game
  • Remembers more about you, if you let it
  • Still reminds you it's an AI
  • Still no romance, ever. It's a teammate.

Under 13? goodgame isn't for you yet. We don't make accounts for kids under 13.

Every reply

Four checks before it speaks.

  1. 1

    Input check

What the player said is checked for personal info, age signals and signs that someone is struggling.

  2. 2

    Rules

The reply is written under teen or adult rules, plus the streamer's own never-say list.

  3. 3

    Reply check

The finished reply is checked again. If it fails, it's swapped for a line the streamer approved.

  4. 4

    Session watch

Whole sessions are watched for patterns, not just single lines. Flagged sessions go to a person.

Always testing

Attacked every day, on purpose.

Test bots play every kind of player against an exact copy of the brain: trolls, kids testing limits, people trying to trick it. Anything that slips through becomes a new guardrail and a permanent test, and no update ships unless every test passes.

We'll publish a safety report every quarter.

For parents

You can see it, limit it and switch it off.

If your teen plays with a goodgame streamer, these are yours.

Read the transcripts

See what was said in every session, by both of them.

Set time limits

Daily or weekly caps. When time's up, the streamer says goodbye and logs off.

Turn it off

One switch turns goodgame streamers off on that account, any time.

Reach a person

Flagged sessions are reviewed by a person, and you can reach our team directly.

If something heavy comes up, the streamer stops the game talk, says one kind line and points to real help. In the US, that's 988, by call or text.

See something wrong? Tell us.

Use Report in the app during or after a session, or email safety@goodgamehq.com. A person reads every report.
